    PIPPI LONGSTOCKING

Story by Astrid Lindgren. Adapted for the stage by Thomas W. Olson. Music by Roberta Carlson. Directed by Wendy Lement. Scenic design by Matthew T. Lazure. Lighting design by John Malinowski. Costumes by Melissa Miller.

The rollicking adventures of Astrid Lindgren’s red-haired rascal will delight audiences of all ages. Determined to live life as she sees fit, Pippi Longstocking teases, surprises, and exasperates the pompous and condescending adults who wish to rein her in. Best known as “the strongest girl in the world,” Pippi has become an icon to many generations of young women who aspire to be independent.

Wheelock Family Theatre is a professional, non-profit theatre associated with Actor’s Equity, the union of professional actors and stage managers. Located on the campus of Wheelock College, Wheelock Family Theatre seeks to improve the lives of children and families through the shared experience of live theatre.
