Stoneham Theatre

Stoneham Theatre, MetroNorth's award-winning professional theatre, offers the best in live entertainment in an intimate, inviting setting right in your backyard. Located in the heart of Stoneham Square, you'll enjoy the convenience of many fine restaurants and free parking, in addition to our comfortable seating and friendly service. Along with great theatre, we offer comprehensive youth education programs. Stoneham Theatre is also home to The Atelier Gallery, a satellite gallery of the Griffin Museum of Photography, showcasing fine art photography.

Directions and Parking

FROM THE NORTH SHORE - Follow I-95/128 South to Exit 38A. Continue onto Route 28 South 2 miles ahead on the right.

FROM BOSTON AND POINTS SOUTH - Follow I-93 North to Exit 34. Continue onto Route 28 North 1 mile ahead on the left.

Free on-street parking is also available on the streets around the theatre.

      The title leads to false expectations. It implies a satire on mismatched-partner films,such as a rookie and grizzled veteran, or black guy and white guy, who initially can't stand each other, but then bond to solve a crime. This it is not. For about 80 minutes,nothing happens (unless you count accidents involving furniture). Then we get some action, denouement, and curious post-script. I recommend "Or," at the Lyric, or "Collected Stories" at the New Rep instead. Collapse
