Blue Heron Renaissance Choir
Blue Heron is Boston's leading professional early music vocal ensemble, committed to vivid live performance inspired by the study of original source materials and historical performance practice. Led by music director Scott Metcalfe, the group's principal repertoire is 15th- and 16th-century music from England. France, the Low Countries, and Spain. Now in its 10th season, Blue Heron presents its own series of concerts in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has appeared at other venues throughout the Northeast, in New York City, and in California. Blue Heron's first CD, featuring music by Guillaume Du Fay, was released in March of 2007 to international critical acclaim.
